Storytime 4 May 2025: The Neverending Story, Part 10
Continuing with Michael Ende’s The Neverending Story. Bastian has met with Atreyu, who was holding a tournament in the Silver City of Amarganth to gather heroes for an expedition to search for the hero of Fantastica. Several ego-boosting wish fulfillment fantasies later, Bastian has created a library of all the stories he will ever write, and there are a lot of them, an origin story for the city of Amarganth itself, and a monster to carry off a princess so the knight he bested in the tournament will have something to do. And Bastian, Atreyu, and Falkor form a party to search for a way for Bastian to return home, which he doesn’t really want to do but knows he must someday.
