Munch: Decision Made, Stuff Updated
OK, amid playing World of Warcraft, addressing Christmas cards, and finishing the shopping, I finally updated the Munch page. Check it out.
We just couldn't stay at that restaurant. I've been hearing complaints for too long, and finally my wife said she wouldn't be coming to another munch at that place. That was the last straw. Sorry, Ryan's.
The Golden Corral idea was pretty popular among the people who came to the last munch. In fact, the only objection I've heard has been from one guy who's never come to a munch at all, just one of Lynnette's parties. Since you can't please everybody all the time, I figure that it's best to focus on the people who are actually coming. So there. Golden Corral in Greenwood. It's decided, it's done, and we'll see what people think.

Step 1: Comments
I'm going to try enabling comments with Blogger. This is the first test. Enabling comments on old posts is apparently more difficult than I think it's worth right now; I'll set things up so that you can comment on any post I make from now on. However, you have to be registered with Blogger and logged in. If you're not, Blogger will ask you to register and/or log in. It's free. This will basically take the place of the now-deleted LilJennie Yahoo group.

Crisis Averted ... for Now
Well, thanks to some timely advice I'm now able to control the munch's Yahoo group again. And hopefully I'll be able to spread that around in case this happens again. I do not, however, plan to start another liljennie Yahoo group of any kind. I'll be looking somewhere else for that. Maybe LiveJournal? Or maybe I'll open this blog up for comments with Blogger? ... Not sure. I want something that's less likely to be summarily deleted because of what some suit imagines my site is about.

Join Temporary Lists Now
It's time to activate the temporary lists. If you want to be on a list about this web page, which will be a temporary replacement for the LilJennie Yahoo group, send email to abtalk-request@liljennie.com. You can send email to abtalk@liljennie.com, and it will go out to everybody on the list. Likewise, email hhc-request@liljennie.com to be added to the list about the central Indiana munch, and email hhc@liljennie.com to send your message to everybody on that list. I can take responsibility for these working; Yahoo has become unreliable. Meanwhile, I can look for a service with more features and fewer stone-age executives.

R.I.P., LilJennie's Yahoo Group
Well, as you can see from this, my 'liljennie' Yahoo group has been deleted. So has my 'realliljennie' Yahoo account. This means that not only isn't there an owner or moderator for the munch group, there can never be one again, since I can't log in to make someone else the moderator.
I'm exploring other options. But I don't have time for this.

HBO Thing?
Lynnette called to say that the HBO "Real Sex" episode that we were filmed for was going to air tonight. But from the online blurb, I'm not sure it looks like the one. If it is, I hope somebody tapes it. I don't have HBO, and Lynnette, who does get HBO, doesn't have a working VCR.
