I want to thank Penny Jane ... at the Munch on the 18th she gave me a teddy bear! Not just any teddy bear, a truly overdecorated sparkly multicolored one with a metallic green bowtie! She calls him Disco Bear, appropriately! And he goes very well with our old lime-green iMac, which he is currently sitting on top of. Too bad we're looking to get rid of the computer, but at least we're keeping Disco Bear! Thank you, Penny! He's so cute!

Well, we had 8 people at the munch on Saturday, which I consider a great turnout! Unfortunately I couldn't hang out and talk for long, because I had to get home.
Lynnette wants to start another monthly munch on the first Saturday of every month, in Muncie. Her theory is that she'll get more people from the north part of the state who can't come to the Indianapolis one. She also wanted me to move my munch back to Bloomington for the winter months, so people from the south part of the state wouldn't have to drive in the winter. She thinks it's going to be a rough winter.
But I don't want to go whipsawing my munch around. It's meant to be a baseline, a constant bass line that underscores the social music, if you will. I really enjoyed the two events we've had at Lynnette's house, but the one part I didn't like is the fact that they took place on munch weekends, so we had to effectively cancel the munch for those months. There are supposed to be parties in addition to the munch. Maybe I'm just being curmuncheony. 8:-) But I'm trying to build up momentum here, and constantly changing where or when the munch is isn't going to allow it to grow. It's kind of like TV network executives moving a show around so that it's never on the same night two weeks in a row, so nobody watches it because nobody can find it.
One of the people who came to the munch said he's tried the new Abriform X-Plus, and they're not that bad. They're still pretty thick, he said, but they've removed the absorbent material from the sides of the front part. He didn't have one with him to show me, unfortunately. It sounds as if they're not as good as they used to be, but they're not bad.

Well it looks like there's some new sample content over at whispersofnew, but it's going to be a pay site once everything is put together. It will probably be worthwhile, though, as both people doing that site are very creative!
I wore diapers to bed last night and drank a couple extra glasses of water, and I woke up wet this morning! OK, I have vague memories of waking up a little to wet my diaper, but that's all. Someday I hope I can do that without even remembering waking up. It would be comforting to know, actually, that if I were to go to sleep in diapers I would always wake up with wet ones. But I still want to stay dry if I don't go to sleep in diapers, which is what I do most nights.
We have the AB/DL munch in Indy this weekend. I have to send out a message to remind people! And answer my email. But I have to do that later.

While catching up on my Yahoo groups last night, I saw (remembered, actually, since Kim told me in email) that Mistress Mommy Katt's Yahoo group had been deleted. Making a long story short, it probably happened because somebody sent a false, malicious complaint to Yahoo, which just deleted the group and some of MMK's accounts because they don't have time to actually check these things out. What a despicable thing for somebody to do, tearing down something that MMK was trying to build for all of us to enjoy! I understand the group was just starting to take off, too.
The suggestion has been made that this detractor (I'll call them AC for Anonymous Coward) was mad at MMK for having a pay site. OK, yes, you do have to subscribe to see everything. But you know, hosting a web site costs money! Especially if you have a lot of pictures on it, and videos are even worse. Also, the more popular the site is, the more bandwidth it consumes for the hosting service, and the service charges the content provider for that bandwidth! What's more, creating all the material that goes on a web site takes up time, time that could be used to have a second job or otherwise make money. Here at LilJennie's page, you're seeing the results of little bits of work here and there over a few years, and since I have very few pictures and my hit numbers are low, I don't get charged much, thank goodness! So I can afford to provide my page to you for free. But an undertaking like MMK's page is quite another story.
People like AC, on the other hand, see sites like MMK's and get angry, somehow thinking that everything on the Internet should be free (and that's free as in free beer, not free as in free speech, as the Open Source programmers say). Which makes everything that MMK does seem like some kind of advertisement or self-promotion, in AC's eyes, and therefore is motivated by greed and tainted. If we accept this as true ... then, for anybody who is trying to make any kind of money (is there anybody who isn't?), everything they do is self-promotion related to their making money. Therefore everything that anybody ever does in the entire world is motivated by greed and tainted. To disprove this, just think of one instance where anything you've ever done was not motivated by greed. And the whole ridiculous house of cards falls. Sure, maybe MMK is happy if her Yahoo group results in another person checking out her web site, but that doesn't mean that greed is her motivation. Maybe she just likes ABs and wants to do something for them. I've met her. She does like ABs, and she's really nice!
I'm just really disgusted by this.

I've been neglecting my Yahoo groups shamefully. Bad Jennie! But I've been so busy ... anyway, over in my very own Yahoo group, LilJennie, there was somebody who posted four messages in three days about other forums, one of which he/she admitted to being the moderator of, and two of which were the same link. I'm torn about this. OK, I'm not torn about the duplicate link. That's ridiculous, and I deleted one of the two messages from the archive. But I'm torn about people using my group to post information about other groups. Would they want me doing the same on their forums? It's not as if there's a lot of activity on my group, but still, it's kind of a slap in the face for someone to come in and say here's a great forum!
I also seriously need to weed my links, files and photos ... I wish people would make it clear whose pictures were whose, and I wish the people who added links, files and photos would actually participate in the group. Now I'm probably going to have to set some kind of policy, like anybody who hasn't participated in X number of months will get their stuff deleted, and I'll have to enforce that policy, and it's more time I don't have.
Anyway, Monday evening and all night I was in diapers, on orders of a dominant I sometimes talk to on IRC. That was pretty fun. Part of my fetish involves my diapering myself because I'm a kid at heart, but another part involves being "forced" into diapers (I know, how can I be truly forced if I really want it; it's an age-old consensual-nonconsensuality question) by somebody else. There's more than one side to how I enjoy diapers and being a baby.

Well, I understand that the medium Abriform X-Plus wasn't changed as much as the large size was, which is good news for me as I use the medium, but not as good news for those who use the large size!
Trying to get a site set up for my non-AB pages, as I have for my AB pages -- then I can be happily off my old ISP.

Guess what folks? I was just reading the Acceptible Use Policy that my web hosting service has, and I discovered that, wonder of wonders, my site is prohibited! I should have read it before I paid them. Anyway, if my site were to disappear tomorrow, you'd know why. Then again, if they closed down all "sites that may infer sexual content of any kind," they'd probably go out of business. I think they're mostly worried about visual sexual content and not so much about textual sexual content. (Try saying that five times fast.) Well, if I disappear all of a sudden, the five people who read this page will know what happened. 8:-)
I've ordered a new graphics card from half.com. I hope my wife understands. I got Neverwinter Nights working on her Mac, but at about the speed that it runs at on my Linux box now, which is 1 fps or so. There are upgrade options available for iMacs, but just for the CPU, not for the video hardware. And they require you to send in the motherboard and wait 5 or more days without a computer for them to upgrade and send it back. And all that costs at least $300. So this is probably something we'll have to talk about. We might just want to get her a new computer or something, if we can afford it. Anyway, my new graphics card will get here, and she's going to complain about how I can play a game I got her for her birthday but she can't. So either I'm going to set her up to be able to play on my computer, or I'm going to have to not play it until we solve her problem with playing it on the Mac.
Not a lot of AB content today, I'm afraid. However, I have heard disturbing stories that Abena has started making the Abriform X-Plus thinner. That would be upsetting. It's a great diaper, and it would be a pity if they destroyed something so great. It might go from being superior to Molicare to being inferior overnight.
