Life's Hassles

Well, I haven't written anything here for a while, again. Bad Jennie! But this time there's a reason. Reasons, actually.

First was when our air conditioner died. My computer at home puts out a lot of heat. So it was turned off for about two weeks as the part the repair guys needed didn't arrive, and didn't arrive ... anyway, finally that got fixed, but it cost money. Luckily, it cost less than they'd originally told us it would. At least there's that.

But it was still money we hadn't planned on spending, and things were already tight. Now my monitor is going. I'm lucky that it's working now, but it comes and goes. I've been telling myself that when this monitor goes I'll buy a nice 19-inch LCD flat panel monitor ... now I don't think that's going to happen. 19-inch CRTs aren't too bad nowadays ... but I still can't afford one right now. Maybe soon. But for now I can only be on here when the monitor gods smile.

Saturday is the next AB/DL munch in Indianapolis! It's also GenCon, which is also in Indianapolis. I'm going to spend most of the day and evening at GenCon and drive over for the munch, then go back. It should work out. I hope. It'll be one busy Saturday.
