Today isn't my birthday, but it's my birthday party in just a couple hours! Right now I'm ripping songs from CDs to make a compilation CD to play in the background during the party. There will be a very wide range of music.

TammyJo and Fox have set things up downstairs. I'm a li'l bit excited. It's not going to be an "adult baby" birthday party or anything. Lots of friends are coming over. A lot of them know I'm into that, but it doesn't really enter into my everyday life.

And it doesn't. Part of me wishes it did, and part of me is glad it doesn't. I'm trying to make myself comfortable with putting just as much "Jennie" into my everyday life as I can without going into the uncomfortable zone. But that's not much. Basically it's things from wearing "training panties" under my clothes to carrying some baby supplies in my backpack to just being an admitted Sailor Moon and Cardcaptor Sakura fan. Not much that anybody can see.

Fox made me a "private" birthday card, though -- he's such a great person. It shows Jennie, as in the character from The Wotch who was inspired by me, running and yelling, "Cake! Ice cream! Presents!" It's so sweet, both the appearance of Jennie in the comic and Fox's reuse of the image ... it's good to know that there are people who know and accept. Whatever else people may give me for my birthday, that may be the best gift of them all.
